The 2024 fall wild fire season was a very eventful time for the area. DCNR E604 was brought into the area due to the red flag dangers due to many days of no measurable precipitation. Many of our days were high wind driven and humidity below 25%. Many fire happened in the area totaling well over 600 acres combined. Lehigh Township fire being the largest at 575 acres.
